Contributors download one complete statement from their own banking app and upload the file, every page in order; photos, screenshots, single pages and others' statements are rejected. Native files mean transaction lines arrive as machine-readable text wherever the PDF carries a text layer, not as an OCR guess. The task is open only in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, so layouts span 36 countries' retail banks and card issuers, several languages and currencies. Underwriting, open-banking and document teams train on synthetic statements because banks will not license customer data and individuals will not hand statements to a stranger; this is a consented route to real ones.
