Pedestrian Decision Points (10,000 clips)

Most of a walk is uneventful; the hard part for a navigation model is the handful of moments where the path forks, the entrance is ambiguous, stairs or ramp must be chosen, the crossing timed. Contributors film short clips at those points, the approach and the choice, in the cities of a global base strongest in Southeast Asia, the United States and Europe, where sidewalks, crossings and entrances follow conventions no single-country navigation set encodes. Phone footage; no route labels, GPS traces or annotations, and the clip boundaries themselves mark the decision point. A focused complement to the chest-height walking video, which supplies the continuous footage, sized for fine-tuning and evaluating sidewalk-robot and pedestrian-navigation policies.
