Lay the menu flat or hold it steady, photograph the whole page square on, with names and prices readable and other diners out of frame; partial pages, angled shots that distort columns and unreadable print are rejected. Capture is limited to 11 Southeast Asian countries, so expect layouts from multi-column printed menus to chalk and marker boards, in the region's languages, often bilingual, prices in local currency. No transcriptions are included. The menu corpora we have found are delivery-platform catalogs and vendor sets for Japanese and Korean restaurants; hand-lettered carinderia boards and warung price lists in Filipino, Indonesian or Thai appear in none of them. This is the layout mix menu-reading models meet in production.
