Photograph the departure board or timetable, hold steady so the display is not smeared, header row in frame, people out of shot; heavily smeared and cropped shots are rejected. Collection runs only in 11 Southeast Asian countries, 50 per contributor at most. No transcriptions are included. LED and dot-matrix boards defeat print-trained OCR: refresh banding, pixel grids, scrolling text and concourse glare. Southeast Asian transit (LRT, MRT, KRL, KTM, ferries, jeepney and bus terminals) uses route codes, abbreviations and languages absent from European and North American data. Data for transit and mapping AI, travel assistants and accessibility tools that read boards aloud, and a hard slice for any OCR model that claims to handle scene text.
