Put one object on a table in even light, take a photo, move an eighth turn, repeat until eight frames close the circle, object and light unchanged. Fewer than eight angles, a moved object and changed lighting are rejected, one set per contributor, so every set is a different object from a different home: a long tail of everyday things, not a catalog. No turntable, poses or depth; structure-from-motion usually recovers poses from eight views of a static object, though 45-degree spacing and textureless objects defeat it on some sets. MVImgNet and CO3D carry non-commercial or restrictive terms and ABO is a retailer's studio catalog; these are consumer objects photographed by their owners, commercially licensed.
