Expect the structured end of the handwriting spectrum: columns of measurements, timestamps, item codes, quick sketches and improvised abbreviations, written in the field or at work, not at a desk, in the scripts and languages of a global base strongest in Southeast Asia, the United States and Europe. No transcriptions are included. Recognizers trained on prose do badly on tables of numbers and codes, and archives holding such notebooks rarely license them; this set complements the general handwriting pages for handwritten-table recognition. The brief was broad, so content runs from scientific notebooks to everyday logs; samples are available.
