Sorting is categorization performed with the hands, and watching someone do it exposes the decision rule: this pile is socks, that pile is winter, these tools go together because they are used together. Contributors film themselves organizing everyday items (clothes, tools, pantry goods) with the camera on the sorting process and faces out of frame, in homes across Southeast Asia, the United States, Europe and elsewhere, so items and categories reflect how different households live. No object, category or action labels are included; third-person view from a propped or held phone. With the drawer set and the book-shelving set, it forms a tidying library: grouping, placement and the finished arrangement, commercially licensed.
