Tool use is a different manipulation problem from grasping: the force path runs through one object and the goal sits on another, and human video of it at scale with a commercial license is close to non-existent. Contributors film themselves using everyday tools (scissors, screwdrivers, brooms and similar) on real jobs around the home, camera on hands and tool, faces avoided, in households on three continents. No tool, action or hand labels are included; because each clip is single-purpose, tool-class and verb labels can be added in one pass. EPIC-KITCHENS is CC BY-NC; Ego4D permits commercial training but cannot be redistributed.
